It was a pleasure photographing this extended family! When we first arrived at the place I had previously chosen, I let them know that this was not a typical photoshoot location. In fact, they may have wondered if we were really going to take photos there. But it’s amazing how even a construction site can have little pockets of beauty all around. In this case, I was blown away by all of the fun places to photograph in an otherwise desolate place. I love to discover beauty especially when it’s not obvious.
(below) One of my favorite shots ever. Children are the best!
We were walking through the parking lot and I noticed this dried mud puddle. I asked if anyone was brave enough to lay down in it and these two beauties volunteered. (Aunt/niece) I love this textured backdrop!
This cute girl did not want to smile for our “girls” photo. And I can usually find a way around it but this time I didn’t find her connection until the individual shots below. She was perfectly happy to tell me all about her loose tooth. She lit up when she showed it to me! I love kids. They are so honest about their feelings.
LOVE!
Such beautiful people. Love this family and hope to always be in touch!
